Technological progress is accelerating. Reusable rockets and drone swarms have moved from science fiction into real deployment. Expert-level AI is accessible at consumer scale, while quantum technologies are advancing from lab systems toward practical applications. Frontier energy, next-generation robotics, and private space stations are moving from prototypes toward scale, including credible pathways that could make fusion and AGI a reality sooner than many expect.

The upside is historic. The challenge is that institutions, infrastructure, and security posture often evolve more slowly than the capabilities we deploy, especially in a decoupling world. The question is whether we can realign incentives, institutions, and infrastructure so that accelerating capability strengthens society rather than destabilizing it.
